Ubisoft seeks a Senior Technical Artist to define end-to-end character production and resolve technical challenges from asset creation through Unreal integration.
Location: Montréal, Canada
Contract and work arrangement: Permanent, full-time; office-based in Montréal.
What you will do
- Establish character pipelines, naming, export and validation standards for rigs, skeletons, materials and textures.
- Create or recommend tools for character artists, riggers and animators.
- Optimize geometry, skinning, shaders and memory, and solve deformation, cloth, hair and modular-character issues.
What the studio is looking for
- Hands-on knowledge of end-to-end character creation and game-engine integration.
- Experience setting character-production workflows and technical budgets.
- Unreal Engine 5 expertise or relevant Unreal 4 character-pipeline experience; CV and portfolio or project links required.
