IT Operations Lead

Job Responsibility: We are recruiting for an IT Operations Lead to join our team in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland! As the IT Operations Lead at Genoa Design, this role is responsible for supervising the IT Operations team, including service desk and infrastructure support, ensuring service levels are met, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. With professionalism, adaptability, and leadership, IT services are maintained to meet business needs, enabling positive outcomes for the team, colleagues, and customers. THE DAY-TO-DAY As the IT Operations Lead, responsibilities include:

• Leading the IT Operations team in local and remote offices.
• Enabling positive IT and Security culture through your actions and professionalism.
• Ensuring that IT services and end user support are of high quality and readily available.
• Reinforcing established policies, procedures and SLAs to meet business needs.
• Ensuring maintenance is implemented effectively while minimizing downtime and risk.
• Interacting with vendors, service providers, and other support teams.
• Asset management, capacity forecasting, purchasing, and renewals.
• Managing service delivery performance using metrics, analytics and reporting on KPIs.
• On-Call scheduling and oversight of support activities outside normal business hours.
• Coaching team members, developing training plans, and managing team performance.
• Supporting the implementation of new processes and technologies.
• IT department leadership activities and supporting business objectives.
• Taking on additional duties as required to support the team and organization.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or Technical diploma in IT, Networking, Systems Administration, or a related discipline, with equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant technology experience with proven technical and leadership skills.
• Experience in multiple IT disciplines, including IT service management, systems, networking, data centers, applications, project management, information security, and cloud platforms.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities are essential, along with effective project and deadline management skills.
• Success in this role requires leadership power skills, a growth mindset, and a commitment to mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning at all experience levels.
