You will support various functions including Security Operations, Digital Forensics, Threat Intelligence, Risk Assessments, Security Audits etc. Overall, you will assist and contribute to the global team in day-to-day analysis tasks and in fun wider team security projects. This will allow you to learn and gain experience, in both, analytical and interpersonal skills.LocationCanada, RemoteTerm DurationThis is a full-time 8 or 12-month position, starting September, 2026.Co-op / Intern EligibilityThis position is open to co-ops and interns. To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in full-time education or be a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date.Compensation range$19.46 - $28.55 hourly rate. The final offer within this range will reflect the candidate’s skills, year of education, and experience.Vacancy StatusThis is an existing job vacancy.What you will doParticipate in the Security Incident Response ProcessConduct review of security logs from systemsCorrelate and identify potential incidents or areas of riskAnalyze suspicious e-mails when required.Support vulnerability and penetration tests on target systemsIdentify compromised systems on the network and assist with containment and mitigationIdentify and propose key information security program priorities, initiatives, plans, practices and toolsProvide guidance (e.g., information security risk severity assessments / relative cost benefit analysis / business impact analysis etc.) and provide recommendations regarding prioritization of investments and projects that mitigate risks, strengthen defenses and reduce vulnerabilitiesImplement and support approved information security projectsSupport internal and external security auditsCollaborate across the company to ensure information security risks in both ongoing and planned operations are properly considered and that all compliance matters are being adhered to as requiredMonitor information security trends and evolving technologies and keep senior management informed about related information security issues and implications for the CompanyUnderstand potential and emerging information security threats, and vulnerabilities and communicate this information to appropriate team members throughout the Company on a timely basisAssist with disaster recovery and business continuity planningPerform technical risk assessments and reviews of new and existing applications and systems, including data center physical security and environmentTrain users and promote security awareness to improve defenses and the security culture within the organization.Document and update operational security procedures and diagramsWhat we are looking forCurrently enrolled in a program where information security is the primary focusGood understanding of non-technical aspects of information securityBasic understanding of industry standards and best practices related to Systems, Networks, Identity, and Security managementGood understanding of Cloud platforms and services especially as it relates to SecurityStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent verbal and communication skillsSelf-starterWe’re accepting applications now through end of day on June 5, 2026 .
