Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Powder Coater to join our production team. We have openings for day shift (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) and afternoon shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) . This role is responsible for preparing, coating, and inspecting precision sheet metal parts while ensuring all work meets production, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of hands-on powder coating experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and powder coat parts according to routing sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
Inspect metal parts before and after coating to ensure quality requirements are met.
Troubleshoot common powder coating and finish issues.
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of powder coating equipment.
Issue and handle powder coating materials as required.
Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures while keeping the paint line moving efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 1 year of powder coating experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is required .
Good understanding of basic manufacturing and production processes.
Ability to operate powder coating equipment and troubleshoot common coating issues.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, routing sheets, and work instructions.
Comfortable performing basic calculations required for production work.
Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and commitment to quality.
Able to follow instructions, accept coaching, and work effectively under production deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

Previous experience powder coating precision sheet metal or industrial steel components.
Experience working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with powder coating systems, material handling, and routine equipment maintenance.
Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Schedule & Pay Details

Shift: Day shift (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM ) or Afternoon shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
Location: Port Coquitlam, BC
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Job Type: Full-Time
