Position Overview:

As a Bilingual Area Human Resources Business Partner - Québec, you will be instrumental in empowering store managers and sales floor teams to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main HR advisor for Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and Area Managers in your assigned region.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, from coaching to conflict resolution
• Conduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance with employment law.
• Enforce progressive discipline, lead disciplinary meetings, and manage termination processes with professionalism.
• Ensure employee records are complete and accurate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Partner with recruiters to coordinate hiring for mid-level management roles in stores.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding processes for new store associates by supporting the interview process, conducting new hire orientation, ensuring employees are enrolled in our HRIS/store systems, and following up with Payroll, Store Managers, and HR members to ensure employee onboarding is completed.
• Assist in the ongoing review, development, and implementation of company policies, programs, and initiatives, including delivering training programs.
• Monitor workforce trends, assess store needs, and implement HR strategies that improve engagement and retention.
• Support regional organization planning and staff development, including creating and monitoring the progress of a development plan with area managers and the HR Manager.
• Serve as the HRBP backup for Ontario when needed, ensuring smooth operations across regions.
• Stay ahead of labor laws and HR best practices, ensuring UNIQLO remains compliant and competitive.
• Ensure the company operates in accordance with all applicable legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, etc.
• Sit as a member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee and oversee meetings of the stores' JHSCs.
• Provide a weekly HR report summarizing key activities and observations.
• Travel 4 days per week in Greater Montreal locations (if you are based in the Montreal region). 
• Additional duties as required.  

What You Bring:  

• Bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in Human Resources or a closely related field required. HR Professional Designation is a strong asset.
• Minimum 3 years of experience providing guidance to managers and leaders on complex employee relations matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in disciplinary actions, terminations, and workplace investigations.
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance.
• Previous experience in a retail HR environment is highly desirable.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 4 days per week to provide on-site HR support across multiple store locations.
• Proficiency in oral and written French is a requirement.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with global teams and interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Must possess permanent work authorization in Canada (eligible to work for any employer).
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools and HRIS systems.
• Proven ability to operate with the highest standards of integrity and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
• Flexibility to support additional regions as required by business needs.

Annual Salary: $98,400 - $112,000 CAD.  

The salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and the position's location.
