(AHI) - Medical Device Reprocessing Department Technician

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Medical Device Reprocessing Department Technician in the Support Services Department.

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent that is acceptable to the Hospital.
• Current Central Service Techniques (CSAO) certificate is required (recertification required every 5 years)
• Recent experience with medical device reprocessing is considered an asset.
• Ability to perform duties of decontamination, preparation/set up of processed items, sterilization, scope processing, record maintenance, distribution, dressing preparation, ordering, general cleaning/maintenance etc.
• Physically able to perform all the requirements of the job.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative and self-direction with the ability to work with minimal supervision and contribute to a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to own professional development and continuing education.
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis and be available to work all shifts.
• Collaborates with other team members.
• Is knowledgeable of the roles of other team members and recognizes their contributions.

Other Pertinent Conditions

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($30.15 per hour to $30.79 per hour)
