Site-Based Electrical Project Engineer Role

Engage in an exciting electrical engineering role at Woodfibre LNG in Squamish, overseeing crucial construction phases. Focus on high voltage systems and contractor coordination at our LNG facility. Woodfibre LNG seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to manage on-site activities during the construction of a major LNG export facility. Your technical knowledge and leadership will guide contractors through electrical system installations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality expectations. You will be integral to monitoring project progress and managing resources effectively across teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct on-site management and coordination of EPC contractor efforts
- Supervise equipment testing and permitting processes
- Oversee project costs and schedule management
- Evaluate construction methods and approve scope changes
- Foster a culture of safety adhered to by all team members
- P.Eng. designation with Electrical Engineering degree
- 5-10 years in the construction or oil and gas sector
- Proficient in high voltage equipment handling
- Skilled in permit management and compliance
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
