Software Developer Sr
Zimmer Biomet
Zimmer Biomet seeks a Senior Software Developer to design and develop computer-assisted surgery software using C++, Qt, computer vision, and medical imaging. The role requires technical leadership and mentorship of a development team, with three days weekly on-site presence in Montreal.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software developers with technical guidance, code reviews, and continuous improvement culture
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient C++ and Qt code for computer-assisted surgery applications
- Implement and optimize data structures and algorithms for computer vision and medical imaging performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate complex algorithms into company products
- Drive technical discussions, architectural decisions, and adherence to coding standards and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years professional software development experience with modern C++
- 2+ years experience with Qt/QML
- 1+ year demonstrated experience in team leadership, technical lead, or mentoring role
- Strong object-oriented programming, design patterns, unit testing, and algorithm optimization knowledge
- Fluency in French and English, spoken and written
- Experience with medical imaging, computer vision, or real-time systems (asset)
