Working collaboratively with a dynamic Admissions Team, the Admissions Associate is first and foremost someone who is passionate about Education someone who will be expected to convey the Schools philosophy of education and value proposition in a compelling and articulate manner, while addressing substantive questions about educational trends from prospective parent and student stakeholder groups, many of whom will be inspired to apply to St. Georges School. BIPoC and 2SLGBTQIA+ people and those with disabilities are warmly encouraged to apply, and invited to reach out for more information about our commitment to pluralism.Responsibilities will include: Admissions ProcessingParticipates in four essential elements to ensure a competitive admissions process and the long-term health of the student body: - admission management (the tracking of prospective students from applicant to enrollment and beyond)- student retention and re-enrollment- research (analyzing data that affect enrollment)- marketingMaintains records and the online database for School applicants (i.e. applications, recommendations, reports etc.) and generates admissions files.Conducts interviews with prospective candidates and their families including individual, parent and group interviews.Reads, reviews, and evaluates and recommends candidates for admission.Coordinating all logistics relating to the Schools Financial Assistance Program including communication with Apple Financial Services.Research & AnalysisContinually collaborate to evaluate all aspects of the admission program for the School with the goal of maintaining enrollment of mission appropriate and qualified students, a wait list of qualified candidates and meeting established admission benchmarks.Gathers/coordinates demographic research, marketing, advertising, and logistics to drive School enrollment.Seeks opportunities to remain current in educational trends, the competitive independent school landscape, and emerging trends in enrollment management.Responsible for using data analysis tools to identify KPI, analyze data, interpret data insights, and help present data strategy to advance the mission of the Admission Office.Recruitment & OutreachAssists with orchestration and delivery of on-campus programs: Open House, Information Sessions, Spring Visits, Counselor/Consultant visits, etc.Designs and leads the Student Admissions Ambassador program engaging current students to support School admissions.Visits classes, attends school events (athletic/artistic/academic), and other functions to keep current on life at the School.Represents the School at receptions, fairs, and events, as needed.Responsible for some boarding recruitment in select regions, including occasional travel.Occasional evening and Saturday work as needed to support the admissions process and events.The ideal candidate will possess the following: A Bachelors degree.A background in education with 1-2 years of admissions experience preferred. Understanding and knowledge of independent school culture, adolescent development and/or secondary school education is an asset.A successful record in program management and team-based administration.Demonstrated business acumen including analytical problem-solving and communication skills.Self-starter with strong organizational ability, attentiveness to detail, and willingness to take initiative.Effective interpersonal skills and attitudes, including a high standard of professionalism and a strong sense of ethics.Experience working with young people either in the capacity of managing, teaching or counselling.Warm and welcoming demeanour to emphasize a personalized approach to the admissions process.Experience with online databases and student information management software such as Blackbaud, Veracross, Workday, etc.Comfort with data collection and interpretation, with experience in utilizing data to make strategic decisions.Cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.Excellent command of the English language both written and oral.Willing and able to complete occasional travel.Willing and able to work occasionally evenings and Saturdays as needed to support the admissions process and events.Able to support, reinforce, and emulate the Schools six core values.Interested applicants should email a cover letter and resume to: View email address on ca.edajobs.com
