Description

Bloomberg News is one of the world's leading financial news organizations, delivering impactful, fast, accurate, and market-moving journalism across digital, television, radio, print, and social platforms. When news breaks—whether it's about economies, financial markets, technology, energy, policy, or companies-we're there, helping our global audience stay informed and ahead of what's next. Our newsroom is powered by curiosity, collaboration, and innovation, and we're looking for interns who share that mindset. If you're passionate about journalism, eager to tell meaningful stories that have impact, and excited to learn from some of the industry's most accomplished reporters and editors, we'd love to hear from you. As a news intern:

• You'll get hands-on training before you join your assigned team.
• You'll report and write stories on your own byline for the Bloomberg audience.
• You won't be 'shadowing' except to learn how to do a job. Then you'll be doing it.
• You will pitch, interview, research, analyze data and chase stories under the direction of your assigned team while collaborating with journalists across the global newsroom.
• You'll be mentored and supported while developing skills for the newsroom of the future.

At Bloomberg, we operate as one integrated newsroom, where print, digital, television, audio, and social media teams work together to produce the highest-quality journalism. Depending on business needs and your interests, you may work with teams covering everything from energy to sneakers, technology to municipal bonds, Parliament to palladium.

Qualifications

• A passion for journalism and storytelling, with a strong interest in global financial markets, business, economics, or public policy.
• Driving curiosity and a desire to uncover meaningful stories and explain complex topics clearly.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented newsroom.
• Previous print journalism experience or a demonstrated interest through internships, campus media, freelance work, or extracurricular activities.
• Availability to work up to 40 hours per week, in person at our Toronto office, for a 10-week internship beginning in June 2027.
• Completion of at least three years of undergraduate study by the start of the internship.
