The Role

We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams, contributing to process improvements and financial decision-making. What You'll Do

• Manage the full revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606.
• Assess and apply ASC 606 principles to complex customer contracts for accurate revenue recognition.
• Analyze revenue data using Excel to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform monthly revenue close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate revenue accruals.
• Support the preparation of revenue-related reports for management and board reporting packages.
• Monitor and analyze recognized revenue, identifying discrepancies and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline revenue accounting processes, implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive revenue-related initiatives and optimize processes.

What You'll Bring

• Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance
• CPA designation
• 3+ years progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting
• Strong technical accounting expertise, with a focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606 or IFRS 15.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
