Nanny Wanted - Seeking A Family Operations Assistant Part Time (25-30 Hrs/Week) Childcare & Household Support

Hello! We are a warm, active family seeking a proactive, organized, and caring Family Operations Assistant to help keep our home and family running smoothly. We are looking for someone who brings initiative, joy, and kindness into our home—and who is excited to be part of our children’s early years. Our family includes two wonderful children (ages 5.5 and 2.5) who both attend school: 5.5 in PM Kindergarten and 2.5 year old in AM programming. We are two busy working parents, each running separate businesses, a friendly 11-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, a few fish, and two pet rats (Bunny and Cuteskers - we call them “pocket dogs”). This is more than a traditional nanny position. While caring for our children is an important part of the role, we’re looking for someone who enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, and helping a busy household thrive. Schedule is approximately 25–30 hours per week, primarily Monday through Thursday, occasional Fridays, with flexibility to accommodate school schedules and occasional family needs. Responsibilities Childcare

• School pickups and drop-offs
• Caring for the children before and after school
• Planning fun, engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Preparing healthy lunches and snacks
• Supporting routines, independence, and positive behaviour
• Transporting children to occasional activities and appointments (mileage reimbursed)

Household Support

• Family laundry, folding, and putting clothing away
• Meal preparation for dinners and lunches
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Keeping the kitchen and common areas tidy and organized
• Organizing toys, closets, and household supplies
• Restocking household essentials and maintaining shopping lists
• Preparing backpacks, lunches, and clothing for the following day

Family Operations

• Helping coordinate schedules
• Running occasional errands and returns
• Assisting with miscellaneous household tasks that help our family stay organized and reduce day-to-day stress

About You We’re looking for someone who:

• Is warm, kind, dependable, and trustworthy
• Loves children and enjoys spending time with them
• Loves the outdoors and Montessori approach
• Is highly organized and takes initiative without needing constant direction
• Enjoys meal preparation and creating organized spaces
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has a valid driver’s licence and a safe, reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Is comfortable around pets
• Holds (or is willing to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification
• Can provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check

Experience as a nanny, household manager, family assistant, early childhood educator, teacher, executive assistant, or similar role is considered an asset.
