Director, Project Services - North America

We’re looking for a Director, Project Services to join our Minerals & Metals leadership team in North America. This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary.

This is a key leadership opportunity within our North American business and a valued member of the Regional Leadership Team (RLT). You’ll partner closely with Project Managers and Project Controls teams across a diverse portfolio of projects, while collaborating with regional Project Controls leaders and Vice Presidents to drive strong, consistent project delivery.

About The Role

• Driving project performance by monitoring and reporting on execution, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and strategic goals
• Supporting accurate forecasting across project backlogs, estimates to complete, and the broader business development pipeline
• Reviewing and approving key study capital expenditures in line with Ausenco’s governance processes
• Ensuring consolidated cash flow forecasts are accurate and helping drive strong DSO performance
• Partnering with Project Managers to navigate challenges, while contributing to strategic pursuits and proposal development
• Promoting consistent, standardised project controls practices across regional offices
• Mentoring and developing your team, supporting broader people initiatives, and playing an active role in attracting top talent

Success in this position comes from building strong relationships, driving operational excellence, and helping teams deliver high‑quality outcomes across complex, multidisciplinary projects.

About You

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Mining, or similar)
• Extensive (15 years+) experience in engineering consulting, EPCM, or project delivery within Minerals & Metals or similar industry
• Strong track record across project controls, including estimating, planning & scheduling, cost control, and project management
• Experience leading large, complex projects through the full life cycle, from studies to execution
• Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations and partner effectively with Project Managers and senior stakeholders
• Solid commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and project governance
• Demonstrated ability to drive consistency, improve delivery practices, and influence outcomes in a fast‑paced environment
• A collaborative, hands‑on leader with strong communication skills and a focus on quality, people development, and results
