Job Responsibility:

Bayshore is growing and we are seeking Personal Caregivers who are looking for flexible hours. We offer casual home and community care jobs.

****(PSW's) Personal Support Worker OR (HCA) Certificates required and those who have their own personal vehicle and drive a must. ****

Available locations: Port Perry, Greenbank Area

***Day availability required from 9am-5pm, and some evening until 7pm***

Foreign trained Nurses with documentation to support, second year RPN Students, third year RN students are also eligible.

The Work You Will Do As a Personal Caregiver, you will provide high-quality and compassionate care to your clients on a one-to-one basis in client's private home and provide exceptional customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide homemaking services including, but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household management.

• Provide companionship and/or accompany clients to activities and events in the community.

• Provide personal care service according to directions on the care plan.

• Ensures that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.

• Help with client specific activities of daily living (personal assistance tasks)

• Perform specialized, client specific procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.

• Observe and document client conditions according to company standards, report unusual events or changes in the client's condition to the immediate Supervisor or to the Office

• Understands and implements infection prevention practices.

Job Qualification

Requirements:

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service.
• Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
• Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
• Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
• Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset
• Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
