Head of Payroll (North America)

LGC Group seeks an experienced Head of Payroll to oversee US and Canada payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments, regulatory compliance, and coordination with tax and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, deductions, taxes, and third-party payments
• Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems; oversee processing of payroll changes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and company policies
• Oversee payroll vendor relationship and manage payroll tax audits
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams; maintain records and prepare reports

Requirements

• Proven payroll manager or equivalent experience in payroll administration
• Comprehensive knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations and procedures
• Multi-location payroll and tax expertise across North America
• Proficiency with payroll software/HRIS platforms and Excel
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and mathematical competency
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Human Resources
• Experience partnering with outsourced payroll vendors
