Sector 7 Kitchen + Bar
Sector 7 Kitchen + Bar is looking for a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen, you’ll be responsible for preparing and executing dishes from our globally inspired menu while maintaining the quality, consistency, and presentation our guests expect.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to Sector 7 recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Set up, stock, and maintain your station before, during, and after service
- Work efficiently and accurately during high-volume services
- Complete daily food preparation and ensure ingredients are properly labelled, rotated, and stored
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation across every order
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Communicate effectively with fellow kitchen team members and support other stations when needed
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, receiving, and general kitchen duties
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture built around teamwork, communication, accountability, and growth
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience is preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume restaurant is an asset
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen safety
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent portioning and presentation
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Able to remain composed and productive during busy service periods
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and continuously improve
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
