Hiring a line cook- must be available weekends

We are looking for a motivated and dependable  Line Cook to join our Italian kitchen team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and can work efficiently as part of a team.

The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and executing dishes according to our recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and productive during busy service periods. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
• Set up and stock assigned station before service
• Maintain proper  mise en place throughout the shift
• Execute food orders accurately and efficiently during service
• Maintain consistent food quality, flavour, temperature, and presentation
• Work multiple stations as needed, including pasta, sauté, grill, fryer, or prep
• Communicate clearly with the Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team during service
• Monitor cooking times and coordinate multiple dishes to ensure timely service
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Assist with daily prep, including sauces, stocks, vegetables, proteins, pasta, and other ingredients
• Minimize food waste through proper preparation, storage, and portion control
• Receive and properly store deliveries when required
• Help with opening and closing duties
• Maintain a professional, positive, and respectful attitude
• Follow direction from the Chef and management team
• Support other kitchen team members when needed
