Production Technician

Agilent (BIOVECTRA) seeks a Production Technician to operate and maintain pharmaceutical processing equipment for active pharmaceutical ingredient and fermentation product manufacturing. The role involves executing production processes, handling hazardous materials, performing sampling and testing, and collaborating with teams to meet quality and efficiency goals on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor manual and automated equipment for fermentation, purification, and chemical synthesis processes
- Control unit operations from start-up to shutdown including microbial growth, filtration, and recovery steps
- Perform process sampling and testing including pH, conductivity, and aseptic sampling techniques
- Prepare shift summaries and update spreadsheets with performance and quality indicators
- Assist with equipment cleaning, housekeeping, material staging, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2+ years experience in cGMP or regulated environment
- Excellent attention to detail and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- WHIMS certification and First Aid certification (asset)
Compensation: $37,349.00 - $58,358.00/yr CAD plus bonus, stock and benefits eligibility
