Administrative Assistant

The Cumberland House Housing Authority is currently recruiting a full-time Administrative Assistant, Level 2 to join their team.  Working closely with the Manager and Building Services, you will build and maintain professional working relationships with tenants and the public.  

The Position:
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial and operational records, proper security of cash deposits, payment vouchers, and responsibility of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Review and recommend housing applications, conduct income reviews, ensure rents are collected, arrears action plans are developed, and move-ins and move-outs are completed in a timely manner
- Manage tenant-related concerns and assist the Manager with issues regarding tenant associations and compliance with lease agreements

- Ability to manage stressful situations, problem solve, and manage conflict
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional client relations skills and the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and some experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial analysis OR an equivalent combination of education and experience  
- A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
