our Role
CPC Pumps International Inc. is a part of the Atlas Copco Group, a world-leading industrial group present in more than 180 countries, over the span of approximately 150 years. CPC Pumps specializes in designing, manufacturing, testing, and servicing of engineered heavy duty process centrifugal pumps (fully API 610 Compliant) for the CCUS, Green Energy / Circular Economy, H2, LNG, Chem-Petrochem and power-generating industry since 1957.
CPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill the role of Assembler Fitter B .
Purpose
The Assembler Fitter B assembles pumps of engineered rotating equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Manager or their designate as part of production control operations
- Take instruction from the Assembly & Welding Manager / Production Manager, or their designate, for the assembly of rotating equipment scheduled for jobs, service or repair
- Multi-task and manage several tasks on assembly of different product lines
- Proficient in fitting, alignment, and in piping and tubing to achieve desired results
- Assemble a variety of pump assemblies for test and final assembly, with minimal supervision (after training is provided by management team)
- Displays an understanding of the more advanced assembly techniques combined with the aptitude to complete these tasks in a timely manner
- Readily contributes ideas and problem solves issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues that arise during assembly
- Effectively train other employees on product lines and processes
- Effectively able to mentor fellow assemblers
- Assist with additional assigned tasks as needed
To succeed, you will need
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced fitting, assembly and testing of various rotating assemblies
- Proficient in measuring and effectively using a variety of measuring equipment
- Able to diagnose and troubleshoot issues during assembly
- Able to read and understand drawings and assembly layouts
- Good Communication skills
Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Recommended minimum 5 years' experience as an Assembler Fitter B, Industrial Mechanic, or equivalent experience.
Physical Demands
- Ability to occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortably able to perform repetitive motions using finger, wrist, and shoulders
- Ability to remain standing for the duration of your shift
- Work environment involves working in shop setting
- Ability to work in a high noise area
- Ability to work around overhead cranes, forklifts, machines, and equipment
- Must wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and steel toed boots
- Must be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and procedures
