Extendicare Payroll Director Role
EXTENDICARE
Take the lead in payroll services as Extendicare’s Payroll Director, based in Markham, Ontario. This role is crucial for accurate payroll delivery and operational transformation in a hybrid work environment. You will be responsible for the strategic oversight of payroll across Extendicare's national footprint, ensuring compliance with Canadian legislation for unionized staff. Your leadership will focus on enhancing payroll operations through technology-driven solutions and process improvements, while fostering collaboration across departments. You will serve as the payroll expert guiding governance and compliance initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Direct payroll operations and compliance measures
- Implement process standardization and efficiency improvements
- Ensure accurate payroll for diverse employee groups
- Support strategic workforce planning and payroll audits
- Analyze payroll data for insights and workforce trends
- 8–12+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience
- Familiarity with complex unionized payroll environments
- Mastery of Canadian payroll regulations
- Strong experience in Workday implementations
- PCP/PLP designation preferred
