Position Description
Are you passionate about building enterprise-scale Agentic AI solutions that move beyond experimentation into real-world business impact?

CGI's Emerging Technologies team within Global Technology and Operations (GTO) Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agentic AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy next-generation AI solutions leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI frameworks.

As part of our Data, AI, and Cloud practice, you will work alongside leading AI Architects, Data Scientists, and Cloud Engineers to deliver innovative AI solutions for global clients. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can bridge strategy, architecture, and implementation to deliver production-ready AI systems at scale.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions that address complex business challenges.
Build multi-agent systems utilizing modern orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, Google ADK, Amazon Bedrock Agents, or Azure AI Foundry.
Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of AI solutions, from ideation and proof of concept through production deployment and continuous optimization.
Architect and implement RAG-based solutions leveraging vector databases and knowledge retrieval systems.
Develop robust prompt engineering, context engineering, and agent orchestration strategies to optimize performance and user experience.
Fine-tune and customize foundation models using PEFT techniques such as LoRA and QLoRA.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities, define solution roadmaps, and translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
Establish AI governance, observability, monitoring, security, and Responsible AI practices for production deployments.
Optimize AI architectures for scalability, latency, accuracy, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Partner with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Architects, and Product Teams to deliver enterprise solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
Contribute to AI innovation initiatives, reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and best practices.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across project teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5+ years of software engineering, machine learning, data science, or AI development experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience delivering Generative AI or Agentic AI solutions in production environments.
Demonstrated experience implementing Agentic AI workflows, AI copilots, AI assistants, or autonomous agent solutions with measurable business outcomes.
Strong experience with one or more Agentic AI frameworks, including:
LangGraph
LangChain
CrewAI
Semantic Kernel
AutoGen
Google ADK
Amazon Bedrock Agents
Azure AI Foundry / Azure AI Studio
Experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Hands-on experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, Azure AI Search, or OpenSearch.
Experience deploying and working with foundation models including OpenAI, GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama, Mistral, or similar.
Experience fine-tuning and optimizing LLMs using LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, or related techniques.
Strong programming expertise in Python and SQL.
Experience deploying AI workloads on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of MLOps/LLMOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, and observability.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000 - $145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
