Part Time Cook at Extendicare Homes
EXTENDICARE
Contribute to senior wellness as a Part Time Cook at Extendicare. This position requires certification and a deep understanding of seniors' dietary needs and preferences. Extendicare is hiring a passionate Casual Cook with chef/cook certification from a recognized institution, preferably Red Seal. Understanding and empathy for the needs of seniors are crucial for this role. Candidates must exhibit good attendance and are capable of handling the physical demands associated with kitchen tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Cook meals that cater to senior residents’ tastes
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
- Work effectively in a team setting with kitchen staff
- Consistently maintain good attendance at work
- Meet the physical requirements of cooking
- Chef/cook certification from community college
- Understanding of seniors' nutritional needs
- Proficiency in English communication
- Collaboration and team spirit
- Ability to manage physical job demands
