Senior Technical Director – Environmental Regulatory Compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory strategy for complex environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance projects across Saskatchewan and Manitoba
- Provide senior technical leadership and direction on environmental assessment and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Act as Project Director, overseeing project delivery, regulatory engagement, and approvals sequencing
- Liaise directly with provincial regulators to maintain current knowledge of regulatory frameworks, policy direction, and expectations
- Identify and manage regulatory, compliance, schedule, and reputational risks across projects
- Mentor and support staff in regulatory interpretation, best practices, and defensible technical approaches
- Drive consistency and quality across regulatory deliverables and project execution
- Support clients through regulatory consultations and strategic decision‑making
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in environmental assessment, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated senior‑level experience coordinating and supporting projects in Saskatchewan and Manitoba
- Strong working knowledge of Saskatchewan and Manitoba provincial regulatory environments
- Direct experience working with Saskatchewan regulators on complex or high‑profile projects
- Established client and industry relationships within Saskatchewan and Manitoba
- Proven ability to support business development through technical credibility and strategic insight
- Consulting experience managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously
- Eligibility for, or holding, a relevant professional designation (e.g., RPBio, P. Biol., P. Eng., or equivalent)
Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $132,700 – $175,800
MB & ON: $121,100 – $166,700
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $119,900 – $159,200
