LANGUAGE
Excellent command of French, equivalent to the requirements of the Francophone Mobility program (ability to work daily in French in a professional environment).
Fluent English is required, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication in a bilingual work environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Bakery Attendant to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about baking, committed to delivering exceptional customer service, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety in a fast-paced bakery environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive fresh, high-quality baked goods while experiencing outstanding service that keeps them coming back.
As a Bakery Attendant, you will be the face of our bakery, interacting directly with customers while also working behind the scenes to prepare, bake, and present our delicious products. This role requires a balance of technical baking skills, interpersonal abilities, and strict adherence to food safety protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer Service Excellence
- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist customers in selecting bakery products by providing detailed information about ingredients, flavors, and preparation methods
- Handle customer inquiries, special orders, and custom cake requests with professionalism and attention to detail
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit, and debit payments
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Build lasting customer relationships by remembering regular customers and their preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing display area that showcases products attractively
- Answer telephone inquiries and take orders with accuracy and courtesy
Baking and Production
- Prepare and bake a variety of products including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty items according to established recipes and standards
- Measure and mix ingredients precisely, following recipes and production schedules
- Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers

- Competitive pay between $20 and $25 per hour, depending on experience
