Early Childhood Educator

Southwest Day Care and Early Learning Centre is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Educator with an ECE Level. Please apply through the email listed in job posting.

***Must have an ECE Level to apply*** Please do not apply unless you have a valid ECE Level in Saskatchewan through the ministry of education certification office. We will only contact individuals we wish to interview.

We are looking for an individual who can lead a group of educators, including 1-1 educators, and organize daily schedules and activities. Must have strong classroom management skills.

Duties include but not limited to:
- Understand and uphold the Ministry's standards for ECE Education
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 18 months to 12 years
- Knowledge of Play and Exploration Curriculum an asset, but not required.
- Demonstrates a commitment to working in partnership with parents, Board of Directors, and co-educators
- Flexibility of assigned work hours during the operation of 6am-6pm
- Be comfortable completing closing duties in the Centre.
- Ability to work with children with special needs.
- Ability to follow and implement a program plan and its strategies.

Job Requirements:
- Able to work in Canada immediately with no restrictions.
- Early Childhood Education Level 1, 2, 3
- Current First Aid and CPR Level C Training
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Experience in a structured childcare and early learning environment is an asset
- Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to ensure child developmental milestones are being met
- Comfortable being on feet and walking for shift.
- Comfortable with working an 8 hour shift within the hours we operate (6AM to 6PM).
