Job Description:

Be part of a high performing team where collaboration, diverse perspectives, and business partnerships are top priorities. As a key member of our Early Careers leadership team, you will take on a strategic leadership role overseeing the DBTS, Sun Life Canada, Sun Life Corporate, and SLC Management portfolios. This position provides a unique opportunity to lead campus recruitment initiatives across multiple business units while developing and mentoring a team of talented Talent Acquisition Consultants and Specialists. You will drive recruitment strategy, lead business partnerships on key hiring initiatives, and shape the candidate experience for all student hiring programs within your portfolios.

What will you do?

This role will support our Digital Business Technology Solutions, Sun Life Canada, Sun Life Corporate, and SLC Management groups and student programs through strategic leadership and execution:

• Lead your team of Early Careers Talent Acquisition Consultants and Specialists, conducting regular 1:1 meetings, providing mentorship, and attending Early Careers leadership meetings
• Champion recruitment excellence by leading full recruitment cycle: posting, resume screening, interviews, debriefs, and offers
• Develop a comprehensive Campus Strategy based on market data and expertise
• Build strategic partnerships with business units to enhance campus recruitment efforts and provide consultation to business partners
• Contribute to the development and execution of the portfolio's social media strategy
• Measure and optimize performance by creating, measuring, and reporting on ROI, KPIs, and DEI initiatives
• Lead continuous improvement of all campus recruitment strategies, partnerships, and processes
• Demonstrate flexibility by attending and/or leading internal and external events in various locations during business and non-business hours

You will also support the student experience at Sun Life by:

• Managing onboarding and performance for all students in the portfolio
• Leading student initiatives and contributing to their success and development

What do you need to succeed?

• Minimum of five years of overall talent acquisition experience, including at least three years of campus recruitment experience
• People leadership experience demonstrating success leading, developing, and managing teams is preferred
• Strong presentation skills with comfort presenting to both internal and external audiences
• Ability to travel to various campuses during busy recruitment periods
• Trusted advisor mentality with the ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, partnering business units, and candidates
• Strategic thinking with creative problem-solving abilities based on business needs
• Excellent communication and data analysis skills with a results-driven approach
• Adaptability and resilience and the ability to quickly pivot and deliver on business priorities with comfort taking calculated risks

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
