Senior Business Analyst - Airport Project

Position based on‑site in Mississauga.

Major Responsibilities

• Application of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge methodology, processes and tools in conjunction with ITM Project Management standards and procedures.
• Elicit and document business requirements via appropriate methods for each engagement, including interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits/observation, business process analysis, use case scenarios.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external clients/customers to analyze, document and validate information needs and functional requirements and deliver artifacts such as Business Requirements Document, Process Maps, Functional Requirements Document, Requirements Traceability Matrix, Use Cases, UI Wireframes, Functional Specification Document, Business Cases.
• Serve as the requirements conduit between stakeholder community and the delivery/technical team.
• Manage requirements throughout the project’s lifecycle to ensure adherence to established scope.
• Utilize experience in using enterprise‑wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies to benefit the company.
• Engage in multiple simultaneous initiatives, potentially at different project lifecycle stages.
• Drive and challenge business units’ assumptions on how to execute their plans.
• Possess strong analytical and requirements management skills, interpreting client/customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in business, computer science or related field; preferred Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification and membership in the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
• 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of continuous business analysis work experience in Enterprise Analysis, Requirement Management and Planning, Requirement Elicitation & Communication, Requirement Analysis and Documentation and Solution Assessment and Validation; plus at least 3 large projects valued over $2 million and lasting at least 18 months.
• Excellent work performance with no disciplinary actions or attendance issues that could affect duties.
• Must obtain and retain a Transportation Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of BABOK v2 framework; familiarity with v3 is an asset.
• Superior analytical skills, including creative thinking, decision making, learning, problem solving, systems thinking.
• Ability to produce high quality business analysis documentation at appropriate level of detail; experience developing templates and macro documents.
• Understanding of fundamental business principles and best practices.
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal) with all stakeholders; presentation ability.
• Leadership, influencing, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and business process modeling software.
• High level of commitment, attention to detail, ethical conduct.

Additional Information

Work on‑site out of office 5 days a week.

Compensation

CAD 105000 – CAD 135000 yearly.
