AI Platform Architect (W/M)

At Dolphin Semiconductor, fourty years of analog and mixed-signal design have left behind a wealth of specifications, simulations and deliveries — waiting to be turned into something that runs on its own. We're building the data and AI foundation to make that possible, and you'd be the one drawing the blueprint: one shared identity across every product, spec, block and customer, and the intelligent services built on top of it.

We're currently looking for an AI Platform Architect (W/M) to join our Montreal office : someone who has built a data and service stack from nothing at least once, and lived with it afterwards. This is a greenfield mandate: you define the architecture, choose the stack, and decide where AI belongs and where it doesn't.

You'll work across LLMs, agents and machine learning combined with deterministic code, and defend that line to a sceptical designer as readily as to an executive committee.

As an AI Platform Architect (W/M) , your main missions are:

• Lead the definition and build of the AI team's technical stack — cloud, CI/CD, source control, secrets and identity management, observability, and the engineering practice around it (versioning, review, testing, release).

• Lead the build of the data foundation that makes Dolphin's design history usable by AI: canonical identity across products, specs, blocks and customers, joined and governed.

• Lead the build, deployment and operation of AI services — LLMs, agents, machine learning combined with deterministic code — that take repetitive work off people and run on their own, each with an owner, a spend cap and a log.

• Contribute to analysing Dolphin's data and building the models that foundation makes possible.

• Support teams across the company in putting AI to work in their own workflows, within the rules that keep it safe.

You're about to become a dolphin..

You hold an engineering or master's degree (5 years of higher education) in computer science, software/data engineering, electrical engineering or an equivalent field. You have at least 8 years of experience building and operating data and software systems, including at least one built from scratch and operated over time . This role is neither a research profile nor an analyst position.

You are comfortable across the full stack: cloud architecture and infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and source control at team scale, data architecture and master data management, Python and SQL, and LLM/agent/ML application patterns in production (evaluation, deployment, monitoring, drift). You're at ease with security and data classification, working inside a default-deny policy. Semiconductor or EDA exposure, and French, are a plus.

For this position, your strong team spirit will be your greatest asset. You're credible in both rooms — arguing an architecture to an executive committee and a technical detail to a designer — and you know how to say no to scope and finish the visible thing before starting the interesting one.
