Lead Estimator for Innovative Design Projects

Shape the future of infrastructure as a Lead Estimator at Stantec, handling projects from $1 million to $2 billion. Collaborate with experts to create groundbreaking cost estimations.
Your role will center on crafting detailed cost estimates while coordinating teams focused on delivering excellence in building and facility projects. With your extensive knowledge of architectural systems and multi-discipline coordination, you will identify project risks and propose innovative solutions. This position is pivotal in supporting Stantec’s mission to build a sustainable, clean energy future.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate development of comprehensive cost estimates across multiple disciplines
• Support and validate construction quantities from drawings
• Develop detailed work plans for estimating activities
• Interface with clients to communicate scope and defend estimates
• Conduct quality control of construction documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent in relevant field
• Over 10 years of experience in estimating
• Extensive experience with structured building projects
• Ability to travel for site reconnaissance and meetings
• Familiarity with project scheduling software
