Power Systems QA Analyst

As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the Power Systems QA Analyst will participate in the testing, the quality control and the automation of test scripts for the software and high technology projects in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energies. • Ensures quality of the final product by finding functional, compatibility and performance issues in the software before release.
• Develops Test Plans, Test cases, Test Procedures for various types of testing such as Functional, GUI, Integration, Regression, Data Validation and overall system integration.
• Implements reliable and maintainable test automation solutions to control the regression of the software using the company's test automation framework.
• Continuously improves automated testing methodologies to enable QA team to maximize test coverage of the full depth of enterprise products.
• Utilize system-level exploratory testing to emulate end-to-end customer workflows and proactively discover defects.
• Reports defects found in software and confirm issue resolution and potential side effects of changes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or any other relevant program from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 4 years of Power Systems Engineering experience
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, C++, C#, etc…
• Experience working in Power Systems Engineering.
• Professional fluency in French and English. French and English are required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues located inside and outside of Quebec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship.
• No relocation is being provided. Candidates must reside within 80km of Brossard.

Skills:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Studies of Software Quality Assurance or certifications in software testing.
• Experience in software quality assurance and software testing.
• Understanding of software test automation.
• Experience on tests automation tools for Desktop, Web applications or Web services (e.g. Selenium, Test Complete, SOAPUI, Postman).
• Experience working in the electric utility market and/or power system knowledge.
• Experience with Agile Development Processes, and working in an agile team environment, using SCRUM or any other framework
