Aircraft Electrical Power Systems Engineer
Greater Montreal, QC | Hybrid (3 days onsite) | Full-time Permanent position
Job Summary
Every system on an aircraft runs on electrical power. In this role, you help design the architecture that keeps it all running.
You'll work on power generation, distribution and lighting across a whole family of aircraft, including models in production, in service and still in development. You'll also explore new technologies that cut weight, cost and emissions.
If you're an electrical engineer who wants your work to fly, this is a great next step.
What you'll do
Drive electrical system improvements on current and future aircraft programs
Prepare and review engineering documents for electrical system changes
Propose and test new ideas that cut emissions, cost and weight and improve performance
Run trade studies on bringing new technologies onto aircraft
Capture lessons learned and build best practices for the electrical team
Manage technical work with internal teams and suppliers
Be the voice of the electrical discipline with internal and external partners
What you bring
Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering
5+ years in electrical system integration or related work
Knowledge of relevant aerospace and military standards
Familiarity with Transport Canada, FAA or EASA electrical regulations and guidance
Comfortable working across airworthiness, manufacturing and other engineering teams
Strong spoken and technical writing skills; French is an asset
Self-starter who can juggle several projects at once
Why you'll love it!
Hands-on work with new technologies for next-generation aircraft
Influence across a full family of aircraft, not just one model
Real input on reducing emissions, weight and cost
Permanent role with a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits
Relocation support to the Montreal region may be available for the right candidate
Work permit sponsorship for candidates currently in Canada on a Study Permit or PGWP
