Construction Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders including Surface Land, Geology, Production, Abandonment & Reclamation, Engineering, E&I, QA/QC, and Drilling personnel to effectively plan and execute surface development and wellsite construction projects.
• Lead and oversee multi-disciplinary construction activities including civil works, piling, structural installation, piping systems, and electrical & instrumentation (E&I) scope to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure wellsite locations and associated infrastructure are constructed to published specifications, engineering drawings, QA/QC requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards.
• Manage construction schedules, planning activities, and project sequencing to ensure leases are rig ready and to eliminate delays to rig mobilization and drilling operations.
• Develop, review, and monitor project cost estimates, budgets, forecasting, and schedule performance while identifying opportunities for cost optimization and execution efficiency.
• Ensure day-to-day construction operations are conducted in a safe, environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and operationally efficient manner.
• Provide field leadership and oversight for contractors and construction supervisors involved in civil, structural, piping, piling, and E&I activities, ensuring work quality, productivity, and compliance with company procedures and regulatory expectations.
• Support and participate in QA/QC inspections, verification activities, deficiency tracking, turnover documentation, and construction quality management processes.
• Recruit and manage competent and qualified contract personnel for lease construction supervision. Ensure personnel meet minimum company requirements related to safety, environmental stewardship, heavy equipment operations, company policies, and regulatory compliance. Complete annual IRP 7 assessments for supervisors to satisfy regulatory requirements and provide performance feedback.
• Monitor and evaluate contractor personnel, equipment, construction methods, and vendor services with respect to safety, quality, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and cost performance.
• Actively manage construction contracts and vendor relationships to ensure fair market value is achieved for equipment and services while aligning with project objectives and overall drilling activity levels.
• Assume the SAP Cost Manager role for lease construction projects as delegated by the Surface Development Project Manager, ensuring project costs, commitments, forecasts, and daily financial activities are accurate and up to date.
• Participate in project planning meetings, construction readiness reviews, risk assessments, and execution planning to support successful project delivery.
• Actively participate in vendor performance management by conducting quarterly evaluations and meeting with vendor senior representatives to discuss operational concerns, historical performance, service quality, and future drilling or construction activity requirements.
• Coordinate vendor bid processes and commercial evaluations in collaboration with the Supply Management group.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable regulatory, environmental, safety, and company standards, including documentation, reporting, and audit requirements.
