Global Wealth Management Risk Manager

Drive excellence in operational risk management at Scotiabank as a Global Wealth Management Risk Manager in Toronto, Ontario. Lead risk assessments and enhance governance frameworks in Wealth Management. This role calls for a seasoned risk professional dedicated to strengthening operational risk practices within Global Wealth Management. You will oversee RCSAs, support key initiatives, and guide business units effectively in mitigating risks while ensuring compliance with regulations. Building robust relationships with stakeholders will be fundamental to your success in championing a customer-focused culture. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and lead Risk and Control Self-Assessments
- Provide oversight on key operational risk initiatives
- Manage risk events and mitigation strategies
- Support comprehensive reporting for risk committees
- Collaborate with business leaders to improve risk frameworks
- Relevant degree in Finance or Business Administration
- Over 5 years in risk management or Wealth Management sectors
- Strong grasp of the regulatory landscape and compliance issues
- Demonstrated experience in conducting RCSAs and scenario analyses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting
