W.R. Davis Engineering Ltd (Davis) is a dynamic mid-sized company specializing in the design of infrared (IR) signature solutions for both naval and aerospace platforms. Davis performs ground-up design, development and manufacturing at our Ottawa, Canada facility. More background available at

Our production team consists of some of the best stainless, aluminum and inconel welders in the world, and we are currently looking to expand. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding components in various positions using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. You will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding of stainless, aluminum and Inconel, ensuring precision and quality in the welding process
- Position, fit and assemble products according to drawings and blueprints
- Work with tight tolerances
- Rig and maneuver large weldments
- Inspect and test welded parts and structures to ensure they meet quality standards
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Other related duties
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Rigging experience and basic knowledge of rigging techniques
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality welds
- Experience working within an ISO Quality Program
- Good communication, both verbal and written (English)
- Be able to obtain and maintain a Controlled Goods Clearance
- Proficient at operating shears, brakes, rolls, and benders is considered an asset
- ASME or CWB Certification is considered an asset
