Director of Sales

Reports to: Country Manager

Location: Vaughan, Ontario, Canada

Job Summary

Director of Sales for Canada, based in the Vaughan head office. Responsible for driving sales growth for ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions (DSS) and the Fleming and Baron brands in Central Canada, as well as overseeing Category sales managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the implementation of a business strategy that aligns with the overall DSS and ASSA ABLOY strategies.
• Generate and analyze weekly and monthly sales forecasts to guide strategic planning.
• Identify key commercial activities and opportunities, then develop and implement business plans to ensure continued growth and improved profitability.
• Develop execution strategies and tactics to support regional plans, focusing on driving sales of new products and technologies.
• Maintain and increase sales via the current channel partners while developing new channel strategies, including recruiting new channel partners.
• Plan and direct sales efforts in Central Canada through the direct sales force to achieve or exceed targets for sales and growth initiatives.
• Develop and maintain an organizational culture, values, and reputation in the marketplace and with staff.
• Manage the business collaboratively to promote a consistent vision and enable the team to meet aggressive sales targets.
• Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.
• Continually monitor sales force performance against established metrics to ensure progress and course correction when required.
• Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
• Promote the business unit within industry, manufacturing, trade associations, and the local community.
• Work in partnership with ASSA ABLOY Canada Shared Services to ensure consistent and high‑quality support.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
• Experience leading a profitable and growing business and/or running a sales organization.
• Experience in the industry (door, hardware and/or access control) and market/customer base is preferred; candidates with commercial building product sales management will be considered.
• Proven track record of performance excellence in meeting targets.
• Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the capacity to achieve objectives through collaboration with others.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 40% of the time, and across Canada and into the U.S. A valid driving record in good standing is required.

Salary

The estimated expected salary range for this role is $150,000 - $160,000 per annum.
