Position Summary

The Lead, Information Technology is responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT support operations and providing leadership to the IT support team while remaining actively involved in technical troubleshooting and systems administration.

This position ensures employees receive timely and effective technology support, IT issues are appropriately prioritized and resolved, and company systems, equipment, accounts, networks, backups, and security controls are administered reliably. The IT Supervisor coordinates onboarding and offboarding activities, supports infrastructure and technology projects, manages service providers and vendors, monitors service performance, and helps maintain consistent IT procedures and documentation.  The successful candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and people-leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support, Infrastructure & Security

• Lead day-to-day IT support operations, ensuring timely resolution of employee incidents and service requests.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement of service delivery.
• Support and maintain company systems, networks, servers, applications, devices, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Administer user accounts, access controls, mobile devices, and endpoint management solutions.
• Oversee system monitoring, backups, patching, upgrades, and technology lifecycle activities.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and incident response activities.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, knowledge-base documentation, and service reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, licensing requirements, and data protection practices.
• Oversee IT support services and act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Maintain and support company systems, networks, applications, endpoints, and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Manage user access, security controls, backups, patching, and technology lifecycle activities.
• Monitor system performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Support cybersecurity, incident response, and compliance with company security and data protection standards.
• Develop IT documentation, reports, and service improvement initiatives.

Onboarding, Asset Management & Projects

• Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring timely provisioning and removal of accounts, access, equipment, and technology resources.
• Coordinate with HR, managers, vendors, and technology partners to support employee changes and technology needs.
• Manage IT assets, software licensing, inventory, documentation, and equipment lifecycle activities.
• Support vendor relationships, purchasing, budgeting, and technology planning initiatives.
• Lead or participate in IT projects, system upgrades, implementations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, strengthen security, improve processes, and optimize technology investments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive IT experience in support, systems administration, infrastructure, or a related technical role.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, team lead, or technical mentoring experience preferred.
• Experience with IT service management, asset management, user administration, endpoint support, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience managing vendors, technology projects, system implementations, or upgrades is an asset.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, Cisco, or equivalent are considered an asset.
