Patient Data Insights Intern
AstraZeneca
AstraZeneca seeks a 12-month contract intern to support patient data management and analytics in the oncology medical affairs function. The role involves collaborating across teams to develop dashboards, process datasets, and derive insights that inform strategy and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Support analytics projects on patient support programs and patient data sources to inform strategy
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards displaying KPIs and strategic insights
- Process and prepare datasets from multiple sources using R or similar tools
- Communicate analysis results and limitations to cross-functional stakeholders
- Support patient data governance, documentation, and adherence to data standards
Requirements
- Full-time availability Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, January–December 2027
- Advanced Excel skills and foundational statistics knowledge (regression, hypothesis testing, time series)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
- Experience manipulating structured data with R, Python, or SQL
- Preferred: business intelligence reporting experience (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy)
