Northern Health is seeking an Advisor, Transformation to join our Quality & Transformation department.The Advisor, Transformation (the Advisor) provides leadership and specialized expertise in the design and implementation of system-wide transformation initiatives across the health authority. Reporting to the Director, Transformation, the Advisor plays a pivotal role in advancing strategic change efforts that span clinical care, workforce sustainability, digital health, equity, access, and operational excellence. As a trusted advisor and expert, the Advisor supports the alignment of transformation initiatives with organizational priorities, builds capacity for change, and ensures measurable outcomes across diverse portfolios. This includes applying evidence-based methodologies and frameworks to guide transformation, foster innovation, and support continuous improvement.The Advisor contributes to a program that strengthens organizational change capability through education, coaching, and the development of tools and resources. This includes delivering formal training, leading communities of practice, and providing consultation on change management and transformation strategies and methodologies.The Advisor has a key role in: Assessing the scale, risk, and impact of change initiatives. Identifying stakeholders and analyzing change impacts. Designing and implementing transformation strategies to maximize adoption, minimize resistance, and support employee engagement. Supporting leaders and teams in navigating change to ensure successful implementation and sustainability. Promoting adoption and proficiency in new processes, technologies, and ways of working to enhance benefit realization, value creation, and return on investment. Through this work, the Advisor enables the achievement of strategic project outcomes and contributes to a culture of learning, adaptability, and innovation across the health authority.Starting salary will be approximately from $90,770 to $113,462 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.Qualifications Masters degree in a healthcare discipline or health-related field. Five (5) to seven (7) years recent, related experience in support interdisciplinary teams through change in a complex health-related environment. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Skills and Abilities Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of the concepts and underlying principles of cultural safety and cultural humility and how they apply to Indigenous peoples. Demonstrated ability to work with efficiency to control costs while enhancing the quality of care. Ability to foster innovation throughout complex organizations. Ability to see connections between issues, events and data points and to think clearly around complex systems, bridging community issues and regional and provincial activities. Demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills. Proven ability to manage diverse groups and individuals through change initiatives and be able to resolve issues that arise throughout the process. Superior small and large group facilitation skills and individual coaching skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to foster collaborative partnerships using a team approach. Maintains current knowledge of new developments, trends and research in organizational and leadership development, transformation change management, and recommends/implements best practices accordingly Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex stakeholder environments High level of motivation with a positive attitude and high degree of flexibility in a rapidly changing environment. Able to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform change and support communication of data Strong organizational skills and experience in project management; ability to organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Able to tailor communications to different audiences Strong ability to mentor, coach and empower others to support and lead transformation Ability to develop presentation graphics and spreadsheets.
