The role
We are looking for an ambitious Director of Social & Digital Strategy to join our team.
In this role, you will be a true champion within the agency for the power of social, taking a leadership role in inspiring our teams and clients with what’s possible. You understand how to spark social-first ideas by working collaboratively with creative and account teams. You are also a builder at heart, energized by the opportunity to help us scale our presence, shape our digital offering, and build out our capability in this rapidly evolving space.
You will take the lead on campaign strategy, content planning, implementation, and reporting. Collaborating closely with our wider strategy, account, and creative teams, you will ensure we are delivering best-in-class social and digital work that stands out and drives real business results for our clients.
While your day-to-day focus will be on digital and social execution, you are an integrated, consumer-first thinker. You are someone in love with the power of big ideas and dedicated to connecting them to people in the most impactful, culturally relevant ways.
Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing digital & social campaign strategies.
- Writing precise asset briefs for designers and copywriters, bringing your knowledge of platform techniques to ensure fit-for-social content.
- Working closely with day-to-day clients to react and respond to comments, questions, and opportunities in social media channels.
- Producing reports on effectiveness of our digital and social performance to recommend areas for change and improvement.
- Bring your passion for and knowledge of digital and social marketing to support the wider strategy team and agency with ideas, expertise and guidance.
- Collaborate with creative teams to support the ideation process.
Skills and Experience Required
- 8+ years of experience in digital and social media strategy, with a heavy emphasis on client-facing roles (Agency experience highly preferred).
- In-depth knowledge and experience of how to use social and digital platforms with proven ability to plan and create impactful campaigns in social media.
- A genuine interest in the role of social led ideas and planning in the marketing mix, and a detailed knowledge of how these channels can be used to deliver against a range of marketing objectives.
- Ability to build a cross-channel plan, showing how ideas and assets can be adapted to perform at their peak across social platforms.
- Comfortable with numbers as well as words – able to produce monthly reports on impact and to describe this performance to clients. An experience of using social media insight tools and platforms is essential (e.g. Meta, Google Analytics).
- Ability to write inspiring, single-minded creative briefs independently.
- Can construct a persuasive argument in writing or via a presentation, setting out a brief’s context and building a logical narrative to help sell our work to clients.
- Confidence when presenting strategic and creative responses to clients.
- Social/Digital platform analysis.
- Social Listening for insight gathering and campaign evaluation.
- A good understanding of research and insight gathering methods.
- Able to juggle a busy workload with multiple moving parts.
- Familiar with all the latest social developments and changes, with a clear opinion on how social fits into wider consumer experience and touch points
- Experience of the online gaming pace would be helpful but not mandatory – or at the very least a point of view on the challenges and opportunities and how to overcome them in the modern digital comms landscape.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from CA$130,000 to CA$170,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
