Quality Management Lead
Join DEW Engineering and Development as a Quality Management Lead, specializing in defense contracting and quality assurance for critical equipment. Focus on product compliance and development of robust quality processes.
The Quality Manager plays a critical role in leading the Quality Management System in a hands‑on manufacturing setting. You will oversee Quality Control activities, including inspections and the continuous improvement of the QMS. This position demands collaboration with Operations and Engineering to ensure that quality objectives align with production goals while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Quality Management System (QMS) improvements
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections
- Establish inspection criteria based on drawings and specifications
- Facilitate root‑cause analysis for any nonconformances
- Coordinate supplier quality management and audits
Requirements
- Engineering degree or diploma; equivalent experience accepted
- 5+ years in a quality role within manufacturing
- Solid understanding of quality metrics and inspections
- Experience in leading quality teams and training
- Skilled in creating explicit documentation and reports
