Location: Oshawa, ON (onsite)

Structure : Contract 24 months to start

Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 p/h inc. + HST

Deliverables

• Lead the development, implementation, and governance of the First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) BWRX-300 Initial and Continuing Training Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational excellence.
• Provide leadership, direction, and oversight to training staff responsible for task analysis, curriculum design, examination development, certification, requalification, and training program delivery.
• Serve as the primary interface with the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC), establishing and maintaining a regulatory-compliant operator authorization training program for the world's first deployed BWRX-300 reactor.
• Drive continuous improvement of training effectiveness by evaluating program performance, supporting instructor capability, collaborating with Operations leadership, and ensuring certified operator readiness through ongoing assessment and program enhancements.

Experience Required

• Certified former Control Room Shift Supervisor or Shift Manager at an OPG nuclear generating station, with extensive operational leadership experience supporting licensed nuclear operations.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing nuclear operator authorization, certification, requalification, and continuing training programs in accordance with CNSC regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience developing task analyses, learning objectives, examinations, simulator scenarios, certification assessments, and recertification programs for certified operating staff using systematic training methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with the CNSC, Operations management, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders on operator authorization, licensing, training effectiveness, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and program management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary training teams, influence operational performance, and establish regulatory-compliant training frameworks for new nuclear technologies.
