Strategic Director of Transportation Planning

Shape the future of transportation in Metro Vancouver as the Strategic Director at TransLink. Promote urban planning excellence through innovative transportation network and land use strategies.
This position offers strategic oversight of long-range planning efforts, focusing on integrating land use with major transportation investments. You will manage cross-functional teams, align projects with community needs, and advise key stakeholders on impactful planning decisions. Your leadership will contribute to the sustainable growth of the region.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead extensive strategies for network and land use planning
• Direct investment planning and business case analysis
• Provide strategic advice to municipal and regional authorities
• Establish cross-agency governance structures for decision-making
• Manage performance targets and the investment lifecycle
Requirements:
• Master's degree in planning, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years in management roles within transportation
• Expertise in urban planning and public policy
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Commitment to promoting equity and community inclusiveness
Drive impactful transportation policy and planning initiatives to enhance the quality of life in Metro Vancouver.
