Inside Sales Representative

The Opportunity

We are looking for two sharp, process-driven Inside Sales / Customer Service Representatives to join an experienced local team. This is not a generic call center or a cold-calling outbound sales role. You will own the technical order lifecycle from quotation to fulfillment, acting as the primary point of contact for heavy industrial and manufacturing clients (including major food processors, packaging plants, machine shops, and large-scale tier-1 manufacturers). This role is ideal for a distribution professional who loves the fast-paced, puzzle-solving nature of the industrial sector, possesses an innate mechanical aptitude, and thrives in a high-urgency environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage the Complete Order Lifecycle: Respond to incoming customer inquiries via phone and email, generate accurate technical quotations, source non-stock items, and convert inquiries into purchase orders.
• Execute with Precision: Input detailed orders into an (ERP) system with a high level of accuracy—ensuring units of measure, quantities, and vendor PO pricing are flawless to maintain seamless downstream logistics and accounting.
• Problem-Solve on the Fly : Work closely with outside sales reps and top-tier manufacturers to source unique parts and provide fast, reliable solutions to clients dealing with critical equipment breakdowns.
• Learn from the Best: Work alongside long-tenured industry experts, absorbing years of tribal knowledge across thousands of industrial SKUs.

Position Requirements

• Distribution Experience : Prior experience working within an industrial, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or automotive aftermarket distribution environment is required. You understand the fast pacing and structure of a distributor network.
• Interest in Mechanical Products: You don't need an engineering degree or formal technical training, but you should have a natural curiosity about how things work. If you have an interest in mechanical parts, enjoy learning how industrial components fit together, or have a knack for navigating product catalogs, our team of experts will teach you the rest.
• Process & Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail. You understand how a small error in order entry impacts the entire logistics chain.
• Resilience & Communication: Strong, assertive verbal and written communication skills. You thrive when working with manufacturing clients who operate with a high sense of urgency.
• Punctuality & Team Alignment: A commitment to being structured, arriving on time, and collaborating heavily with your branch team to ensure constant coverage for our clients.

Highly Valued Assets (Big Plus, But Not Required)

• Power Transmission Knowledge: Specific experience handling or selling bearings, roller chains, gearboxes, belts, or industrial conveyors.
• ERP Proficien cy: Direct experience navigating and entering orders within SAP or a similar industrial ERP platform.
