Senior Engineer for Overhead Contact Systems

Egis Canada is hiring a Senior Engineer for Overhead Contact Systems to lead electrification projects in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Engage in the design and integration of OCS within urban rail infrastructure. This engineering position focuses on designing overhead contact systems that meet strict safety and quality standards. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the effective implementation and integration of OCS with other railway systems. Your role will involve monitoring design progress and managing both technical interfaces and climatic constraints. Key Responsibilities:
- Design criteria development for OCS compliance
- Ensure integration with electric traction and civil systems
- Manage functional interfaces with project coordinators
- Validate technical outputs like specifications and models
- Support procurement and commissioning teams
- Engineering degree in relevant discipline
- 5–10 years of OCS design and management experience
- In-depth knowledge of railway standards
- Proficient in BIM and clash detection processes
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
