The Clinical Resource Nurse educates, mentors and supports unit staff, promotes patient safety, occupational health and safety and quality improvement on the unit. Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years recent nursing experience related to the clinical program area
- Previous leadership experience is required.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Other specialty certifications related to the clinical program area as required
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
Knowledge and Abilities
- Understands principles of adult education
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, self-direction, and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an integrated multidisciplinary team
- The ability to facilitate teamwork is essential
- Strong leadership skills are essential
