Job : This position works as part of an interdisciplinary primary health care team. Under the direction of the Clinical Integration Communicable Disease Sexual Health Manager and Supervisor, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health services to the community of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively with a physician, depending upon the complexity of client needs. This employee will examine patients for sexually transmitted infections and ensure necessary assessments and treatments are carried out. This includes: health promotion and protection; first line treatment and emergency services; provision of supportive counselling and instruction in management of medical conditions; disease and injury prevention; initiating and conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects; and collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals and specialists as required.

Education:
- Graduate from an approved School of Nursing.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is desired.
- Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program is required.
