Technical Manager, Link Layer Testing at Telesat

Lead Telesat's Link Layer Testing team as the Technical Manager in Ottawa, ensuring top performance in satellite communications. This onsite role combines leadership and technical expertise. As the Technical Manager, your focus will be on the integration and validation of Link segment systems through proactive leadership and strategic planning. Collaborating with engineering and supplier teams, you will cultivate a high-performing verification and validation team to drive results in this complex field. Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain acceptance criteria for Link capabilities
- Lead testing initiatives for validation of functionality
- Oversee system readiness reviews and operational milestones
- Facilitate technical communication with engineering leadership
- Produce verifiable evidence for compliance and certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in engineering
- Proven track record in system-level integration
- Strong problem-solving and systems thinking abilities
- Experience with performance and reliability in complex systems
