Instrumentation & Control Systems Design Lead / Supervisor

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Instrumentation & Control Systems Design Lead/Supervisor role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry. Responsibilities:
- Support specialized sub-disciplines such as stress analysis, material engineering, and process graphics.
- Monitor material quantities and provide analytical forecasts to support procurement and planning.
- Provide technical oversight for piping systems, including layout plans, isometrics, and instrumentation diagrams.
- Collaborate with procurement, permitting, and subcontracting teams to align design deliverables.
- Oversee the creation and review of technical drawings, specifications, and design criteria.
- Lead and mentor design teams, including engineers, supervisors, and drafting personnel.
- Develop and manage project design strategies, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Diploma or equivalent in a relevant technical field, with a minimum of 25 years of related experience.
- Proven leadership in managing design teams and complex project scopes.
- Strong understanding of piping systems and industrial design practices.
- Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SmartPlant, or similar platforms).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with material specifications, cost analysis, and field implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
