Job Responsibility:

Internal Accountant |

As an Internal Accountant you will be responsible for providing full cycle accounting support for F.H. Black & Company Chartered Professional Accountants Inc. You will provide support through a variety of tasks related to bookkeeping, payroll, invoicing and more! You will report directly to the Managing Partner for all communication and reporting requirements. This position is responsible for timely and accurate reporting and establishing quality control measures.

Responsibilities

· Weekly, monthly and periodic financial reporting and analysis;

· Bank and credit card reconciliations;

· Preparation and filing of GST, PST and Payroll Review and Remittance;

· Directly responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting internally;

· Preparation of data file and records for year-end;

· Job cost tracking/reporting and ensuring staff follow accounting processes and policies.

· Post journal entries;

· Prepare trial balance of books;

· Invoicing including:

o Monthly invoicing for all departments

o Accounts payables for all vendors

o Accounts receivable reporting and collections for all clients

o Monthly revenue reporting to all department Managers

· Identifying accounting errors and corrections;

· Data entry;

· Other internal duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

· Professional Accountant, CPA with 3 years of relevant experience;

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Simply Accounting and/or Caseware software;

· Action-oriented, results driven with the ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment;

· Excellent mathematical and financial skills, with experience in excel;

· Exceptional priority setting, planning, and problem-solving skills;

· Ability to multi-task and manage several responsibilities at once;

· Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency;

· Strong communication skills (written and verbal);

· Confident, reliable and capable of working independently;

· Knowledge of accounting management systems and procedures;

· Proficiency in MS Office;

· The ability to pass a Criminal Record Check.
